Day 590- Quick Rewind

I can't believe Christmas is only 3 days away!
Where has time gone?
I feel like it was Halloween just last week...

Well, we have not been ignoring our blog because we have had nothing fun to post about....actually its exact opposite!
We have been soo busy for the last 2 months...i feel like everyday and weekend we are go go go!
Hopefully after the New Year things will slow down a bit...
( HA! doubtful! But, I just keep telling myself it will)

Well here is a little bit what what we have been up to!

Day 547- ONE YEAR!
We Celebrated our First Anniversary!
I could hardly believe it had been a whole year!
For our anniversary we went to Big Fork, Mt.
We got to meet our newest nephew (and go to his blessing) and hang out with Kyles sister and her family!
We stayed in a cute little cottage and went Jeeping!
It was a great weekend!

Day 558- Thanksgiving!
This year we were stuck in Idaho for Thanksgiving because of our jobs.
We invited both of our families to come since we couldn't go see them, but they couldn't come.
So we loaded up our food and warm clothes and went to Island Park.
Kyles great aunt has a cabin up there that they don't use much in the winter...so we did!
We also cut down a Christmas Tree while we were up there.
 It was so much fun!
and Todd and Cat joined us!

Day 560- Let the crazy Christmas sewing begin!
My first Christmas sewing project was our Stockings!
I made them for a display at work..but with that i get to keep them!
Since getting a sewing machine this year I decided to make a lot of Christmas gifts.
I made all kinds of things...
Skirts
Race Car mats that turn into a bag to hold cars when not playing
(these were my favorite gifts to make! It was so fun because I totally made it up and that is what I enjoy most about sewing is making totally original things)
Necklaces
Key Chains
Rice Bags
More Stockings
Purses  (another project i made up)
and i am sure there was more....

Day 578- Graduation!
Kyle Graduated from BYU-I!!
I am so proud of all the hard work he put in for this accomplishment!

BYU-I is an amazing school!
I helped Kyle with this last semester a bit because he was working such a crazy schedule. I loved the fact that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ were mentioned and a part of almost every lesson (of an Art Class for that fact).
WAY TO GO KYLE!!

Day 586- Sugar cookies!
Ever since i can remember sugar cookies were a thing we made around Christmas.
Growing up we always invited some friends to come make them with us, i remember having cookie parties with all my little girl friends. As i got older we started inviting younger families from the ward to come make cookies.
Last year i made them by myself because i didn't know anyone here in Idaho...
But, not this year! We have this family that we get together with every so often - Kyle worked with their son in their home this spring when he was working at the school so he got to know the family pretty well. So we called them up and asked if we could borrow their kids for a few hours to make cookies, they gladly agreed and it gave them time to do some last minute Christmas shopping.
It was SOO much fun!
They are the Cutest little kids.
There was a lot of cookie dough eating, finger licking, sprinkle dumping going on!
And there is no doubt they didn't sleep that night....but we left before that was witnessed :)

Well that is just a small rewind of what we have been up to!

But, now it is time to turn off the worldly Christmas hustle and bustle that we so easily get caught up in and truly remember the reason for the season.
I am so thankful for this amazing Christmas season, The time that we get to honor our Saviors birth and remember all that he has done for us!

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
and a New Year Full of Laughter and Joy!

  2. Fun post!! I feel like we have been so busy as well and tonight we finally went and looked at christmas lights and then ended up out by the temple. We had a really good conversation about the Saviors' birth with Emma and it was so nice to just have a quiet evening without the holiday rush. Hope you guys have a great Christmas with your dad.
